Draft Perth and Peel Green Growth Plan for 3.5 Million

The State Government has released the draft Perth and Peel Green Growth Plan for 3.5 million (GGP) for consultation until 13th May 2016. The GGP has major implications for industry in terms of environmental approvals, but also the planning process, land availability, likely yields and assumptions during due diligence. CLE will be making a submission on behalf of our Clients. Key planning concerns relate to: flexibility for inclusion of additional urban, industrial or infrastructure land to meet housing demand; requirements for more conservation reserves as public open space (free of cost); wetland reclassification and buffer requirements and lack of funding detail and implications on housing affordability. Please contact our planners to discuss this document and planning implications for your projects further.

Two Storey Medium Density Study Tour

On Friday 13th November 2015 CLE were pleased to have the opportunity to host the Chairman of the WAPC, members of the Statutory Planning Committee, the Director General and Department of Planning staff on a study  tour of the North East and North West corridors to look specifically at two storey, medium density, single and multiple dwellings, as well as mixed use development. We appreciate and thank the representatives from both ABN and BGC for their involvement in the tour and valuable background information on the products. It was an extremely informative day with much learnt concerning the delivery of single medium density dwellings & smaller scale apartments, the opportunities emerging for alternative housing construction and latest housing trends.
