Brighton / Jindalee

The Brighton/Jindalee Estate in the City of Wanneroo stands today as one of largest single communities (and certainly the first) ever developed entirely using the contemporary place making principles of New Urbanism as outlined in the Liveable Neighbourhoods Policy produced by the Department of Planning. The Project is remarkable in both its conception, scope and in the numerous innovations trialled since 2000 which are now seen as standard planning practice throughout the State. It is also testament to the power and vision emanating from public/private partnerships and from strong working relationships operating both within and external to the Project Team.

Brighton has been the recipient of the following awards:

  • 2014 UDIA(WA) Award for Masterplanned Development – Brighton Estate
  • 2013 UDIA(WA) Masterplanned Development – Brighton Estate
  • 2009 UDIA(WA) Award for Excellence – Affordable Development – Brighton Estate
